As the title suggests, can I use a 4 pin RGB splitter cable on a 3 pin argb header on my motherboard at the end of the day the 2nd pin won't have any signal or power etc running through it.

The cable I want to use will have 3 X 3 pin argb devices plugged into it the other end so I'll probably have to cut the 2nd pin off in order to plug the devices in.

Its in place and working fine, like you said its just a wire, and yes it is plugged into an argb header on the motherboard, so there is no 12v, the 2nd pin hole on the cable basically doesnt have a pin to connect to on the motherboard, I just had to cut the 2nd pin off each spur on the other end of the cable to plug it into my 3 devices, they are 1 fan, a water block and a reservoir, the LED count is probably only 30ish, and quite right as you said, they are all change at the same time, there is no way to independently change them, which is fine by me as they are all set to white light which is how I wanted them.
