Hi, I'm on the lookout for a new monitor, the wife has a hobby which puts her in the spare room beside computer a lot and she wants a new monitor around 27" so she can watch tv while she does her sewing etc. There is no ariel facility in the room otherwise I'd just get a tv. Time for a new monitor anyway so I thought a new monitor would keep us both happy. I'm not sure is my system would be able to display this new 4K type monitors, hope you can help an old guy here.
Computer mainboard is a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM HD3, Gfx is built-in AMD Radeon HD 8000/7000 series graphics, CPU is AMD A10 6800K APU, and 8GB Ram running Windows 10.
Back of my computer has 1 HDMI port and a DVI D port as well as the other usual suspects.
I'd appreciate if someone could tell me if a 27" 4K monitor will work ok with this setup so I don't waste money and time, I'm not so much into games these days, mostly internet, watch a movie or two, but SWMBO wants to watch tv on it while sewing her stuff.
