Can I use a better wireless router with my Sky fibre connection?

Currently I'm using sky's 40Mb fibre VDSL connection and it uses two devices; the first one is a modem I think and that connects by ethernet to the Sagem router which my devices connect to. However the router very disappointing does not support 802.11n, so I was wondering if it was possible to use another router with it? (I know my pppoe login credentials). Or even better a device that could replace both devices, because atm I have 4 networking boxes when you include the 2 gigabit switches. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated guys. :)

I've just noticed that sky do a "hub" thing which replaces both devices with one, not checked out the specs though yet, I've always been skeptical of hubs though tbh. :p

I know what you mean about Sky being awkward, I had to hack the connection username and password out of my old one in the pre fiber-days so I could setup my new one. I already have a better (DGN940) 802.11n router sitting around that I used to replace theur previous adsl2 router could that work?

Oh yeah just saw that. :(

So I can't replace the crappy sagem router wth anything better? That sucks, what about any firmware mods?

Like the idea of using the Netgear as an AP though, thanks?

Thanks, I'll see if I can replace the sagem with my 802.11n Netgear.

I already have the login details from the previous sky router, willl they have changed now I'm on vdsl?
