Hi atm i have an extension with everything plugged in, but the socket on the wall for it is under the table, can i use a smart plug to save crawling under to switch it on ?
Thanks

Ok explain more please ?

So if your network card supports wake on lan (WOL), you can use an app to trigger a "magick packet" which will be received by your network card even if the computer is off. This magic packet triggers the computer to start.

Thanks know about magic packets used to have them to waken server up when HTPC started, but the phone side threw me

Is there a reason you switch it off at the wall anyway?

I can't think of a single PC that isn't mechanical power on, software power off. (edit: - unless the darn thing doesn't respond/needs a force power cycle).
