Can a 2018 6th Gen iPad be used with an Ethernet to Lightning adapter to login to routers etc as I could with a laptop?

Standard broadband around here is ADSL connection to pre-configured hub which provides LAN connections, VoIP phone and WiFi AP.

Just looking to be able to connect to such hubs and regular routers to change WiFi settings etc. as I don’t have a laptop and a number of people asking for my help don’t have any sort of PC.

Yes; I've done this in the past to help look at device config, etc as needed; personally I'd probably buy the Lightning Camera Connector Kit (Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter - Apple (UK)) and pickup a seperate USB Ethernet adaptor; this way you can power the thing at the same time if needed,

Few options on Amazon, seems to be limited to 10/100 though. Not sure if that would be a pain or not.

Not a problem just for configuring routers and repeaters.
