Can I use Frankin Gothic online ?

I have been asked by a client to use Franklin Gothic as their website font but I am pretty sure it isnt a standard web font, can anyone see any issues with me using this ?

If it's what the client wants and he knows that not everybody is going to have it do you really have a choice?

It looks very similar to Verdana, just tell him it's Frankin Gothic

If it's for navigation or page/section headers then look into using an appropriate image replacement technique with the desired font.

However if it's for copy I'd use a similar-looking, web standard font from the list you were linked to above.
