Can i use my Dell U2711 with nvidia 3d?

Hi,

Sorry for what i think is a stupid question but i have no clue what works with 3d, or how it works

I have an exisiting Dell U2711 and am interested in 3d gaming, only casual stuff like Skyrim etc.

The monitor has served me well so far and i havent noticed any ghosting as yet but will this change with 3d?

Can i even use this monitor for nvidia 3d vision 2?

I will be running it all using a single 680 GPU.

I'm assuming it's not 120HZ, you'd only be able to use anaglyph 3D, all you need is red/cyan glasses.

It's not 120hz as you mentioned. I went for resolution over refresh....which in this case might be a bad idea.

I suspect the best option wouold be a 3D monitor...ho hum.

Anaglyph 3D isn't that bad

, allows you to get a taste of it before moving on and making a purchase.

problem with 3d is its mostly only available at 1080p atm and higher res screens arnt available just yet with 120mhz so its the old style red and green only
