Can I use my Samsung 172x with a freeview box?

I've seen some cables that are scart to 15pin. Do they work? What resolution would come out of the freeview box. Would this setup work? Basically it would allow me to buy a bigger monitor for my puter instead of buying a really expensive LCD TV. Anyone tried this?
