Hey guys, simple question in the title - Would it be possible to use my Sennheiser PC 360 headset with my PS4? With the 2 different jacks for headset/mic, and PS4 controller only having a single port, is there anything which would allow me to use both sound and mic through the controller port?

Looked around a bit, but found no definitive answer.

Thanks dude. And it's as simple as that, I plug it into the controller and both Mic and Sound will work fine?

Yes. If you want actual game sound from the headset and not just voice comms audio, then I think you have to change some settings so sound is sent to the controllers audio socket rather than output from the TV.

As Psycho Sonny has said, the sound quality won't be anything to write home about. If you want good quality sound through the headset, then you'll probably have to buy something like an Astro Mixamp, which means having the headset connected to the PS4, rather than the controller. It is a controller after all and not an audio product. :p

If you just want it to work though and are not overly fussed about the quality of the audio, the simple cable will do the job.

Thanks for the responses guys. I've got the adapter, and it works perfectly! :D

Usually I run these PC360's with a Asus Xonar Essence STX... so yeah the quality doesn't compare. But for a controller outputting what it is, with the mic working nicely, I'm actually impressed. I wanted it mainly to be able to communicate on the last of us, while having headphones good enough to get some positional sound of where people are. This does the job nicely :)

If I'm honest the quality isn't bad. It's not great by any stretch, but I'd put it at 'decent'. I didn't want to spend much at all to get this going as I don't use the PS4 enough as it is, so I'm happy with the result here :)
