Can I use this w7?

I bought the "Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade - 64 bit " a few weeks back. I'm downloading it now. I have win xp 32 so will I be able to use it? Or do I need it sent to me on dvd so I can fresh install.

You can't upgrade from 32 to 64

I don't think you could do the update without media (DVD/USB flash drive etc) anyway.

What kind of file is it that you're downloading? ISO?

If so then you could burn it to DVD using imgburn.

Or make a bootable USB flash drive

I'm fine with doing a fresh install, so long as this file is capable of doing a fresh install. I'm pretty certain it contains the 'expanded setup' folder that's in the link Daegan gave.

I bought this since it was half the normal price and the site didn't give any indication of limitations depending on what OS you already had.
