I'm probably searching in the wrong places but I can't find an answer anywhere....

I've got crossfire 7950s, can I plug my 120 Hz monitor into card two and use it as an additional extended desktop monitor and still enable crossfire to be able to game on my 2560x1440 monitor? If not I have to buy a DP to mDP cable to go into card one! :(

Bloody useless AMD 7900 series connections! :D

You'll need an adapter, I really don't know why AMD haven't enabled this on their cards.

Maybe they're running a racket with the dual link active DP adapter manufacturers. :p

Oh, check your trust email too.

Thanks mate.

I probably wasn't clear though, both monitors have DP and DL DVI connections but what I want to do is plug one monitor into each card (via DL DVI as I have the cables already) and then have crossfire enabled still so that I can game on the monitor plugged into card one. From what I have read, I can do this but crossfire may not work. I can get a DP to mDP cable for monitor two to go into card one should it not work...

 at your email quite the difference (if you get what I mean) :p

You can have them running off each card, but not with Crossfire enabled. So the DP to Mini DP is what you'll need.

And yeah, massive difference! :p
