You already have the best cpu for your motherboard. A 8700k would need a Z370/Z390 board. It would be a pointless upgrade anyway and all you would be gaining is a extra pair of cores and threads. Overclock your 7700k if it isn't already. Most should hit somewhere around 4.8Ghz with the best hitting 5Ghz with a decent cooler.

I have a Corsair H115i cooler and run the 7700k at 4.8ghz
