can my card run 2 monitors?

i have a MSI HD 6850 OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (cant find a link sorry) and im trying to dual monitor (1 for games the other for youtube and other stuff) and i cant find it when i scan for hardware.

on the device manager window and was wondering can someone tell me why it isnt working?

oh i should add both are using the dvi slots.

please help if you can thanks.

I am not familiar with AMD but it should be an option on CCC. Activate all displays or similar.

okay so my computer cant even detect that i have 2 monitors plugged in (i did eveything in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLy56LyC4Ek and it still only shows 1 monitor plugged in)

Are you using a straight DVI cable, or are you trying to use a DVI-VGA adapter?

Only one of the DVI outputs on a 6850 will also output an analog signal.

It should show up within windows without going into CCC.

Disconnect the second monitor.

Restart your PC(you shouldn't have to but your having problems after all).

Turn your sound up.

Plug in the second monitor.

You should hear the windows hardware jingle.

If it's not automatically enabled, then right click desktop>Screen Resolution>

Your second monitor should be there to select, if not try swapping the cables round.

That'll be why then.

The 6850 only has the ability to have 1x VGA output. You won't ever get it to output to 2x VGA displays.

One will have to be DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort.

so will any HDMI cable work? i mean i have some laying around for my ps3

Assuming your monitor has HDMI in, then yes, any HDMI cable should work.
