Can my system run windows 8? old pc

Hi everyone Ok so i have a very old system my motherboard
is this

I have windows 7 just know but i wanted to get windows 8 but i am unsure if i can get drivers for my motherboard.
My specs are
CROSSHAIR
AMD ATHLON 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600
4gb ddr2
Nvidia Geforce 7800 GTX
need help.

windows 7 drivers should work in windows 8. although i don't use windows 8 now, i used windows 7 drivers when testing out the preview versions last year.

If you are upgrading to Windows 8 it should run a compatibly checker app to ensure that you system can run Windows 8.

Edit: Link to the Upgrade assistant, use it to check your computer can run Windows 8.

it will run it if your m/b supports it drivers etc but why would you want to, just try the preview version before spending any money on it, as you may or may not like it, i'll have it when it's sp1 has been released as i do it for all new o/s as im not happy to bug fix for free for them tbh

May i ask will my mac address change if i upgrade my os?????????
ie upgrade to windows 8 as i have windows on my laptop i like it.

ok thank you that's very good news that my mac address wont change.
I have a laptop that i use for work that was a windows 8 laptop so i decided to install windows 8 on my other computer this old computer.
