Hi I have a system bought in 2013 from overclockers.

Its the "Quasar 240i" Intel Core i5 4670K @ 4.4GHz Overclocked Haswell Gaming PC Bundle

The Motherboard is: Gigabyte Z87-D3HP (Socket 1150) DDR3 Motherboard. I have never really tried to upgrade this system as I don't want to loose the overclock settings that were pre-set by overclockers. The only thing i have really changed is the Graphics card. Its still a fairly powerful machine tbh and with a decent GPU there is no real reason to upgrade it but I have herd how fast NVMe SSD's are and was wandering if I can use one to its full potential and what I would need to do? Also if I had to update the bios is there a way to make sure i dont loose the overclock settings?

Only in benchmarks.

I would stick with normal SSD until you have a motherboard that natively supports them.
