Really stuck here. Been trying to install Windows and I either get bsod or the installer just hangs. I'm using a Athlon II in a msi 790gx g65. Trying to install on a Intel 40gb ssd. Never had problems like this before.

Windows 7 loads the files then I get a bsod saying bad pool header. Xp loads all the files does a restart then hangs at the Windows xp screen. I've tried the memory in difference slots, IDE and SATA hdds and IDE and SATA optical drives and still the same.

Help

Did not think I would have to install any raid drivers. Just to update the bios for the board and go from there. I am now getting a black screen when trying to install.

Problem solved. Turns out the athlon was faulty. Flashed the BIOS to support the 1055th and no bsod.

Cheers. Has had my head done it for ages. Thankfully it has also proved that my 1055T is OK and my other motherboard is indeed faulty.
