I've been using this rig for ages with no problems, here's the spec.
epia m5000 motherboard
rocketraid 1820 sata raid controller.
2 x 128mb RAM
loadsa hard disks.
Now I needed to upgrade this rig so it works with wifi networks, so I bought a PCI riser (epia only has 1 pci slot), and a belkin PCI wifi card.
Now, when everything is plugged in, WinXP fails to boot up... It just hangs. I can only use it under safe mode, of from a bootCD such as bartPE or knoppix
This has only happened since adding the PCI riser, and wifi card.
Now, how can I find out what is making this rig hang? I've got another wifi card I can try, but I've used this wifi card on this system before (sans raid controller), and it's been fine.
Could it be a PCI riser issue?
