Can quad be run as dual

Can I use two sticks of quad channel ram as dual channel? Moved to X570 from X299, mobo is the crosshair VIII impact.

3600MHz is the best for general compatibility with the 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs as most CPUs can reach 1800MHz IF (best performance is when you keep the IF at a ratio of 1:1 with the RAM)

Don't tell them you're running dual channel config...
Actually DIMMs don't know anything about whole memory channel thing.

Besides good clock speed you'll want latencies to be good instead of slow and sluggish.
Latency is measured in clock pulses, so bigger numbers are worser in that.
(at same memory clock)

Aware of that, also aware I need low profile ram. Guess i'm buying some more after all, only stuff I can think of is the corsair ram.
