We’re looking for a new TV and have decided to try the LCD range but tit is proving to be a difficult task.

We have just bought a Sony KLV-30HR3 for about £800 and it’s terrible. Apart from looking really nice and the sound quality is good, the picture quality is absolutely terrible, it’s dull and it appears to ghost when there are fast-moving images on the screen.

So we’re back to the drawing board.

The budget is <£1000 (£800ish preferred).

We'll mainly be using the TV for cable, dvd's and videos. Not for games, pc's etc. Mega high quality isn't important but we at least want something that doesn't feel like its a downgrade from a traditional TV.

If anybody can tell me anything I should be looking out for then it would be appreciated.

Sagem AXIUM HD-L32-T (HD-LCD 1366x720)...

When I bought it it was £1100 but you can get em for £1000

Anyhew!... its fantastic!... Loads of connections (2x Scart, 1x HDMI, 1x YUV, 1x RGB/PC, 1x RCA/S-Video) Freeview built in... Piano Black case with Glass Stand... Looks Very nice!!!... Picture quality is outstanding (even from SD... Even from SkyDigital!! ) and hook up a X-360 or upscaling DVD and WOW!!!...

Plus the 6-1card reader and Dolby Virtual-Surround are a bonus... The Sound is very good (Bass ain't too bad!!)

Hole-Heartedly Recomend this to Everyone!!!...

and theres a new one coming out (in a cuple of months) with an 80Gb hard drive making it a HD-LCD/TV-PVR too!!!
