Ive been on a 3db profile for over a year now but until last night I never had any issues with this, had lots of disconnection & at one popint refused to stay up. I was wondering now that I'm on a 6db profile will this fix it as they wanted to put me on a 15db last night.

stats below

thanx in advance

6.5 is still quite low for an SNR, but if it was mostly stable at 3 then 6 should be fine. Best thing to do is live with it for a bit.

I've lost my extra 2mb thats the downside, I wonder if it has been down to the weather & if water may be in teh local Cab box

6dB is the standard target margin, and usually a 3dB increase/decrease is worth around 800k in sync speed. As you've lost 2Mb in sync speed, but only gained a 3dB increase in margin it also looks like interleaving has been applied to your line. Plus I can see you are getting FECs which is a forward error correction which confirms the interleaving.

It's not uncommon to get more problems as the weather gets worse.

Assuming you're using the Be Box (and from the format of the stats, it looks like it) you can safely ignore the error counters.

should I ignore the error seconds & loss of framing aswell? I should be getting a new box at teh weekend so I'll see if that improves things. In the meantime I can still use this or go back to my 834gt.. If teh line stays up for a few days I'll be getting my 3db profile back me thinks.

I've never really had an issue with the wireless box 3 over the 2 but who knows.

Thanx for the help :D

Kev!

No, the Be/O2 boxes report those properly.

3 errored seconds in 9 hours isn't bad but it's an awful measure of how good or bad your line is (you could have lots of errors in 1 second but only 1 errored second or as many errors but spread over millions of seconds; it's totally meaningless). 37 LoF errors since the box started up is a bit of an issue, depending on how long the box is up.

These are the current stats and the lof is still 37 so its looking good on teh test so far so I may be back on my 3db profile by teh end of the week & possibly using my dg834gt
