Hi all,

My graphics card (XFX 7800GS) has been acting up for a while. It's always fine in Windowed mode but has started becoming much worse in fullscreen, and is now causing problems most of the time I try and play a game.

Here's what it looks like in Quake Live - I had to take an actual picture of the screen, because print-screen doesn't show any problems.

I assure you the game isn't meant to look like that, and no drugs were taken in the making of the photo :p.

I had initially managed to fix it by forcing things such as anti-aliasing in the nVidia control panel, but now that doesn't seem to help either. I've also tried several driver versions. I'm currently using a friend's ATI card and that works fine.

I'm just under the 2 year warranty, is it worth me sending it back and are they easy to deal with (I will do a search in a minute for that too)?

Thanks :).

Thought I ask the daft question, temps are within reason and cooler free from dust.

I would say that card is broken, RMA time.

I cleaned my whole PC with the compressor a few weeks ago (canned air x 1000 :D) and the fan's very clean, and is also spinning freely.

From what I remember my temps were around 40'c normally and would rise to ~70-80'c ish under load which I seem to remember was fairly normal? I've also tried forcing the fan to 100% to no avail.
