Why is it cheaper for me to book a return flight to Sweden, and deliver my package in person, than it is to post it?

Serious answers only, this are a serious thread.
 
But surely less is being expended to deliver a parcel to Sweden, than to deliver the parcel plus me?

I'd go to Sweden for a day tbh, what an excellent excuse to do a bit of travelling!

Also it's because if you send a parcel they have to make sure they have room for that parcel. If you want to go to Sweden you have to fit in with the airlines availability.
 
What about the cost in time for you taking it to Sweden and returning home? Don't forget it's also not just the cost of a flight.

Who are you using to post it?!?!

Surely it is not cheaper than transport to the airport, flight, transport from airport to the delivery destination, transport back from the delivery destination to the airport, flight, and transport from airport to home?? :confused:

You're not being delivered though are you? It's you taking the parcel yourself to the delivery address vs the various transportation costs and people who work for and need to be paid by the courier service.
 
It´d be safer say you had 120k gbp on you.

Booking flights, travel itd cost and take a lot longer.

There are couriers I have paid 40eu from greece and spain and germany and they came 24 t 48hr after. Use AIRMAIL its NEXT WEEK (IME) and AIRSURE is UPTO a day faster wow. Check my similer thread out........
 
The package was to cost £51, and I found a flight on Ryanair for £49.99. :p

Yes, I know that I would have to pay for transport and the rest of it, but I just couldn't believe how much Liz I would lose. :mad: :( :)
 
If you use Parcel Force it'll cost you a fortune, yet if you search the various parcel companies you'll get it for half the price.

Trust me, I've sent lots of presents to my mate and his family in Stockholm and you can get it cheaper.

Plus RyanAir is not a good flight choice when you have to add all the extras, plus your travel,time,parking and food etc
