Can someone get access to your computer screen and type and move the character on a game from another PC that show up on your screen and if so how do you stop them.

You are never 100% safe online. But regular patches, virus/malware scans and decent firewall will keep you pretty much safe.

Yes, download a Anti-Virus and Malwarebytes, pull your network cable and run the two.

Anti-Virus Isn't an application I've ever heard of!

Install a good AV package, not just anything you find online. Look in the AV thread which contains endless amounts of information and a poll for what we all have voted to be good AVs.

I'd pull the network cable out, that should prevent it. However you have not said how they gained access. If they physically got up from the other PC, walked over to yours, and grabbed hold of your mouse, then I think pulling the network cable out would not prevent them taking control.
