this is the image i'd like as my new spray. after downloading gimp and using it for the first time i eventually found out how to remove the white space around the image. however, i cant for the life of me get this saved into a format that steam likes.

.jpg and .bmp are out because they wont accept the transparency i used to remove the whitespace, so i tried saving it as a .tga, but apparently it wasnt saved as a 24 bit RGB image, despite me setting the colour in gimp to RGB

heres the image with the whitespace removed:

if anyone could get that into a format CSS beta likes, i would be incredibly greatful
(especially if you tell me how you did it)

that helped me half an hour ago or so because thats what i was following (the CS source bit anyway).

i did everything it says but i cant get the damned picture in the right format. CSS only recognises .jpg, .bmp, .tga and one other that i cant remember off the top of my head. .jpg and .bmp dont support transparency so they're out. .tga does, but i cant for the life of me get it into a 24 bit RGB .tga or a 32 bit RGBA .tga (which is what CSS uses)

why did i not think of this before

might try the gif thing later and see what it thinks of it just in case i cant find what im looking for elsewhere
