Hi all ive just built my new system consisting of the following :

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Arctic White 8gb DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 "Dual Fan Edition" 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler
Corsair Carbide 500R Midi Tower Case
Corsair HX620 Power Supply

I havnt touched any settings in the bios as Im a but rusty and cant remember exactly how to overclock the cpu... Ive just left everything on auto.
Lots of things I am stuck on like how many volts if i clock it to say 4.5 etc...
Also my ram is only showing as 1300 and I havnt got a clue on that either..

Thanks for any help anyone can provide , it would be greatly appreciated..

Hear from you soon...

I'm not great with memory either, I ended up setting it manually.

For the CPU, just up the multiplier to start with. it will probably auto the volts higher than is required, you'll want to see what's going on by using CPU-Z, HWMonitor and Real Temp. Use intel burn test (v 2.52) to check that load temps aren't too high. At 4.5GHz you'll want to see at least 115GFlops in intel burn test otherwise you're not stressing it enough.
When you get a feel for what core voltage is being auto'd, you can start to manually set it and try to gradually lower it. To start with, try to get it to or below 1.35 as this is considered safe.

Or ignore all that and take the quick route, set vcore to 1.35 and multiplier to 45 and see if it works :D If it doesn't, lower the multiplier by 1 and try again, rinse and repeat.
