Can someone help please? Changing Xbox from HDTV to monitor - no display!

Hi all,

I am trying to get my xbox 360 to play on my 1440 x 900 widescreen monitor after having played it on my 1080i HDTV, but when the console boots on the monitor it doesn't display any output?

I've tried changing the settings to 720p by plugging it back into the HDTV to see if this would work but I've just got mine back from repair and want to play Fifa 09

1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
2. Turn the console off.
3. Turn the console on.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn the console on by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller.

Note Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller is the controller where the upper-left quadrant light is on.
4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time. This causes the Xbox Dashboard to reset the display settings to the default settings and then automatically restarts the console. So it's OK when the Xbox 360 console restarts.

Hi All,

Last time I asked this (above) was before NXE. Now with the NXE dash I have the same problem, but the above fix doesn't work!

Just wondered if anyone's got a fix for me to try again please?!
