can someone help with vista

hi all, im trying to install vista ultimate on a separate partition, and im installing from within xp

when it gets to selecting partitions i choose the one i want (logical drive) but it says

windows cannot be installed to this disk. windows needs the drives for device ali sats/raid controller.
my mobo is a asrock939 dual sata . i have been on there and downloaded the sata drivers but still no luck.

so im getting desperate for help now, i hope somebody can advise me

Yeah, when you get to the setup screen, there is an option to install the drivers from a floppy. I believe that should help you. Its the tools section I think (been a while since i installed Vista)
