Can someone identify this fish species?

As title, iv had this little fella in my fish tank for a couple years now, but iv no idea what he is, hes like an evolutionary maybe , he has stumpy little fins that he doesnt really swim with but propels himself, he is almost the 1st step from being a fish to a land animal if that makes sense, any ideas what species?:

Could possibly be a loach.

My mate had a loach called Lotch. He had buckets of character and was awesome.

Yeh he's got epic character, everyone loves him, iv got some loaches also but there just bullies , im thinking goby-ish then but I cant think for the life of me what exact species hes just so, unique, ill try film him doing his generally awesome day to day thang.
