could someone be kind enough to tell me if i've missed anything. Going to be moving from 2x1Tb drives to 2 SSD's including the OS

my plan is
1.Move the steam apps folder to my hotswap 1tb drive
2.Install SSD 1 and install the OS
3.Install SSD 2
4.Put steam onto SSD 2
5.Move steam apps folder into the steam folder of SSD 2
6.Verify the game caches as and when i launch each game for the first time

Does all that sound about right or am i missing anything. I'll be using win7 for now so Trim should be enabled but i can check that with a smart tool or the disable delete notify command.

Thanks in advance

I think this is posted in the wrong place...

If the two SSDs are the same size/make&model I'd go for a RAID 0 array.

My setup has 2x 240GB SSDs in a RAID 0 array, with two partitions, A small one for windows and a larger one for games.

With games like GTA taking up 60GB+, Sequential Read speeds of 1Gb/sec really do help.

i'll have a look into a raid 0 array.

I think this is the right place iirc it was always the place to come with steam questions.
