Feel free to point out any blindingly obvious mistakes :D

Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK)
Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775)
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB ST3250620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit & 64-Bit Edition DVD - Retail (66I-00017)
Gainward BLISS GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

All comes to about £1000 give or take a few quid, which I am happy with.

The only thing (I think) left to choose is a graphics card, which is where I am stuck.
Apart from that, can anyone offer any advice about this setup?

It will all be going in a lian li case I already have, with the addition of a Dvd-rom, a writer and a couple of older Sata drives I use for storage.

I will use it for the usual stuff, burning the odd disc, a bit of photo editing, home movie stuff and a few games (inc wow ;) ) Cs etc

Any help/advice/tips appreciated

tommy_knockers advice is pretty good apart from in regards to the software and I think he should probably change it :). I'd make a couple of changes as below, I'm not sure I'd buy the Retail Premium edition personally as it very pricey currently and I doubt you will be using both 32bit and 64bit but it is up to you or if you just wanted to go for the Vista Premium 64bit version say it might be better.

Thanks for the reply, I'm busy looking at all the bits and bobs now.
The only thing I was looking at was the cooler, because a few of the reviews say it's noisy on high, and seeing as I'm not going to oc my cpu (yet!) I could get away with a smaller (in size, not fan) and maybe quieter option.
Any thoughts?

The Scythe Ninja cooler is a bit smaller I believe and can be run fanless, especially if not overclocking. The Tuniq Tower is one of the best but like you say if you aren't overclocking then there might not be too much point, the Arctic Freezer 7 is good and pretty quiet but might not be hugely better than the retail fan to begin with, although once/if you start overclocking it should show more of a difference. :)
