I do have really good airflow in my case, the fan is at 100% and the card is sat at idle atm.
but when im gaming it doesnt get over 50C, thats with dual monitor set up as well

fan speed at stock 40% (1314rpm).
temps no read 48, 39, 40.3 + 39.5

My GTX280 whines when folding........so I dont do it any more.

My idle is about the same as you but load is ~65

under any sort of load i set my fan speed to 100%

I probably wouldnt use 100% fan speed all the time, it might be fine but I normaly just use 60% all the time

I only use it when gaming.

I dont have vista so couldnt use vantage but here is my 3dmark06 result:

If the system isn't using 3D, it drops back to the 2D settings, which is 300MHz as in the first post. Mid-high '70's are quite normal under full load (F@H) on GTX280's.

Can you explain the 125.8C temp i got on the 2nd GPU temp reading i got on furmark at the bottom of the first page?
