Ok, I'm at my wits end now, dont what the hell is up with my pc now. As I said the other day, my motherboard kept saying System failed CPU test, the only reply I got was to reset to default settings in the BIOS, so I did. After that when I turned it on it just said system failed memory test and that was it, no boot screen no nothing. So I took out each memory stick, turned it on, nothin, swapped them round, nothin. Took off the heat synch and blew some dust off, to be honest, didnt really have much of a clue what I was looking for, I took the entire board out then also.

Put it all back in, pressed the on button, nothin at all now. Not even a system failed memory test, not a thing moved or changed, a light on the motherboard came on but that was about it. If anyone knows how to fix this I would be grateful.

Otherwise can someone please spec me a new motherboard for around 60 pounds please, I have an AMD chip at the moment if that helps, I dont know if it does.

Its one of those problems where you just have to swap things around until you find the culprit. If you haven't got the resources or ability or time to do that you probably have to pay someone else to, be that a retailer or local pc tech.
Its pretty much impossible to solve via a forum i'm afraid unless someone else has come across the same problem with the same hardware.

If you can list your hardware that might help, see if anyone else has had simililar problems with it or see if theres anything particularly suspect.

I would say it could be the psu or the board but i wouldn't go out and replace either until you can do some testing somehow.
