looking for a new game for the weekend!

liked: COD4, Crysis, Splintercell, Company of Heroes (+opposing fronts)

didn't like: farcry 2, COD5

any recommendations will be greatly appreciated :D

Fallout 3 for me is the best most recent game.

Or Bioshock to get ready for the sequal in a few months.

If you fancy something slightly different, you could try:

- TF2 if you fancy a light-hearted MP game
- Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines - a SP first-person RPG game (slightly dated but quality)
- Left4Dead - another therapeutic MP game;
- Bioshock - possibly still £3.50 on Steam
- System Shock 2 (plus gfx update) - somewhat modernised classic.
- HL2 plus Episodes - nuff said.
- CIV IV plus add-ons - if you like addictive strategy games
- Any of the Total War franchise - if you like 'Period' RTSs

If you go for the last option, I'd advise staying away from Empire: Total war for now as it's rather buggy (see the thread in this section). Go for Medieval 2: Total War. Empire will hopefully be a decent game in about 3 months when it's fully patched.
