As per the title, I am after an IP camera, preferrably wireless to stick on my home network and connect up to the surveillance station function on my Synology NAS.

Can someone recommend one whcih is easy to setup, reasonably priced and compatable with my synology kit?

My mate has 4 Foscam FI8910W and they are pretty crap, better during the day but at night the IR is way way way too bright and it washes everyone's faces out completely.

For the price they will do the job and they will work with most if not all IP cam software (Blueiris for example) but you will quickly find that for quality recordings and snaps its just not got it. It still has all the functions though and they all come with a inbuilt webpage you can use.

He has started replacing them now with Sony Dome VDA110SM3i which are 720p 1280x720 and these are absolutely awesome! Even at night these things look like its daytime, *your looking at 350 quid a cam though for the Sony :/

Thanks for the reply dude. Yeah the Sony's do look awesome although out of my price bracket. Wanted something cheap and cheerful just to keep an eye on what's happenign outside..... and to test out the surveillance function of my nas
