Can someone work out my MPG cost please...

Can someone tell me roughly how much I spent on fuel by these numbers..

30,000miles at around 15mpg at a fuel cost of around £1.25 per litre



The way I tried working it out it came out saying over £10,000 ..

That's my average for the last 720miles, with a six axle 13litre HGV!

I used to get 13.5 average in my 4.6 Range Rover. But that was running LPG, so not £1.25 per litre. I would imagine you wouldn't need to try too hard in a Supercharged V8 Range Rover to get 15 mpg.

I averaged around 16mpg in my 4.2 SC Rangie. It was worth it though.

I get anywhere between 15MPG and 18MPG depending on the type of driving I'm doing and only use Shell 99 which is about £1.40 a litre. Thankfully I only do 5-8k a year so mpg doesn't really bother me too much.

Whatever my fuel costs are, they are massively worth it.

I've averaged just under 17mpg over the past year, that's a tiddly (compared to yours ) 3.8 twin turbo V6. Managed a massive 6mpg at a track though
