no they have to honor the original sale, he can ask for the refund to be split. steam are taking the mickey, it just depends to what extent you want to go to stop it, and i would say as they well know that not many people would ever go to the lengths required to make them honor it.
but you never know, they may just do the right thing off there own backs
It sounds like a lot of hassle for very little gain, just hang onto the games and wait to see if a hack becomes available to allow you to use the correct screen resolution etc
If you wish to set a custom resolution in this game, open config.txt found here:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\stranger's wrath
Then, add the following lines:
Code:
width=2560
height=1600
fullscreen
resolution=custom
You will need to change the width and height to your preferred resolution.
Consumer Focus said digital products are not considered "tangible goods", so while consumers on the high street are protected by the Sale of Goods Act if their purchase is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described, people buying digital goods online are not protected.
This means that if a downloaded song, movie or piece of software does not play on the buyers' computer or MP3 player, they have no legal right to a refund.
The point is that in order to proceed with the refund they want to refund EVERYTHING on that single purchase, which includes FEAR & PoP, and since they're no longer on sale he would have to buy them back at the new non-sale prices.
It's a joke, but a good lesson to us steam users to purchase individually in case they try and pull this on us.
yeah but if he wants to get a refund for the game that doesn't work plus keeping Fear and the Prince of Persia games he has to buy them again for more as they ain't on sale anymore and then get refunded the price they were on sale for doesn't seem right to me.
I wonder when they are going to align digital goods rights, with real goods rights(or at least give you some rights, instead of the usual up yours which is intimated in their eualas).
It will happen eventually, someone whom isnt getting paid not to do anything or look the other way, will get into the right position, or someone will get annoyed with it and make a stink. Its just a matter of when.

He got a discount by buying them all together as one item. Not a series of discounted items.
Wonder what OCUK would do if you wanted to return one part of one of their system bundles?
Andi.
If you buy something from a supermarket, and find one item has a problem you did not notice when purchasing it. They don't ask you to bring ALL of your shopping back do they?
a lot of you seem to think that i would have had to pay more for the oddworld games if i had bought just those but its not the caseIf you buy something from a supermarket, and find one item has a problem you did not notice when purchasing it. They don't ask you to bring ALL of your shopping back do they?

Eh? So the OP Bought all the items seperatly?
Every shop, be it bogof items thats a problem, buy a tea seat and get tea towels holders free etc, a bungle of components will ask you to return the whole lot for a refund. It even tells you like on the highstreet catalogue store. If you buy 2 items, and one has the condition of being half price when bought with another, means that you need to return all components for a refund or any issues!
Be lucky they offered the OP a refund at all tbh!
No to use your supermarket analogy, he bought the tea set at half price, at the same time he bought a packet of biscuits which were 25% off on a different offer, a block of cheese which was also discounted under a different offer etc..He's returning the tea set but the supermarket wants him to return everything he bought on that receipt and then rebuy them at current prices.
They are aligned i don't think you have any rights to return gaames, as they do work, just not on your computer. Although distance selling you get far more rights.
