Can T-Mobile Datacards be used on Macs?

Can anyone tell me whether a T-Mobile mobile broadband datacard can be used with a Mac? I have found this page:

but it appears to contradict itself, giving a spec for Mac usage at point 1. and then saying it can be used with Macs at point 2.
