Hi Guys,

Just a quick question regards the fan setup in the original Coolermaster Stacker. Im looking to replace the original fans but Im unsure if the 120mm mounts can fit only 25mm or 38mm fans?

I assume the the HD cage can only hold 25mm, what about the mount on the back? I think because of the DFI audio module I might be stuck with 25mm too aswell...

Any ideas? I presume a few have replace them since they dont push much air...

The 3 in 1 hdd device fans are attached with clips that go all the way through the fan, so 38mm wide fans would have to be fitted with regular screws, which may be difficult to get access, also there is less than 13mm clearance at the front to allow the 120 x 38 fans to fit without removing or modifying the original baycovers. Not saying it cant be done, best option would be to position the case mounts on the hdd device further forward giving more room at the front.

Just Looking at the back of my case and fitting a 38mm fan would be no problem at all.

Why do you want to fit 120 x 38's anyway?, there are enough bays at the front to fit 3 hdd devices one optical drive and a fan controller. 3 120x38 intake fans should be adequate for most high end systems

Cheers for that - just wanted to know if its possible to fit 38mm or best to just get 25mm ones instead. Not sure if the DFI Audio Module fouls the outake mounts - need to have a proper look with a ruler...

I think I could only fit 1 standalone intake - with 2 optical drives, floppy (probably take that out), frontx and fan controller I just dont have the space for more, but that would be plently of air flow consiering I have that cross flow fan anyway...

It only takes one so I do have 6 bays left over anyway, so I could fit 2 more 4in3 HD modules - I doubt I really need that much intake considering I have the crossflow fan installed pushing cool air over the mobo surface...

Definitely will pick up another module, but as you said I should really fit it with a 25mm thick fan and not a 38mm one...
