I've never used Ubuntu or any other Linux based OS so apologies for my noobness. I'm contemplating building a modest HTPC for using XBMC, Netflix and Youtube all through Ubuntu. Rather than buying a wireless keyboard and mouse is it possible to use my Android phone or iPad as a sort of remote touchpad + keyboard instead? I've googled it but i'm not 100% sure i know what im even reading about (SSH etc).

Cheers.

There is an xbmc remote app for ipad (I use it) and it works really well. There's an Android xbmc app too but I don't think it's in the Play store, you have to install it manually.
