This is for winxp. I've kept task manager in quicklaunch for years, and i want to add volume control

the way i do it for task manager is to create a shortcut on desktop to taskmgr and then move it, but i can't seem to figure out what the location is for volume control.. i mean the extended volume control with line level, mic etc

help its driving me nuts as my new xenta z1 mouse is only 3 button and i dont use multimedia keyboards

don't you have the icon in the notification area? double clicking brings up the full control (whereas a single click simply brings up a slider to change the volume).

if you really want a shortcut on the quicklaunch bar then i think the application name is "sndvol32.exe". if i got the application name wrong you should be able to copy the shortcut from "accessories" on the start menu.
