Can Windows XP Partition my Hard Drive?

As per title really.

A freind of mine has a new PC from mesh. Is it posible for XP to create some partitions on an already formatted drive that is installed with windows? For example turn a 200gb drive into 2 100gb drives (Virtually?)

Not if you dont fancy reinstalling the OS, you would need partition magic or a similar program to do what you are asking.

beware when messing with the partitions, often they have hidden ones on these systems for recovery so that they don't have to supply full repair disks.
