Can you add a google calendar to outlook?

Is there anyway to set up a google calendar to outlook? Ive saw a few older articles that say it isnt possible and that it can be read only? Ive got it on my iphone and the wifes android phone but it doesnt show up on Outlook!

Im trying to set up a shared calendar for my sons school pickups and drops off and was wanting to give the wife and the grandparents (surprisingly very techie) access.

Outlook as in the Office Outlook? Which version?

Thanks for the link, Ive added it as an internet calendar but it is read only and wont let me add to it. Not the end of the world as I always have my phone handy but would have been nice to have just added or adjusted the odd thing via Outlook when Im at work.

Im using Outlook 2013 desktop.

Use the Windows 10 mail & calendar app for your google account and you should have read/write (I know its not what you wanted but will work)

Thanks, if I need to open up another program I might as well just use my phone. As its mainly just to avoid booking meetings etc when Im on pickup or drop off duty the read only version in Outlook should just about cut it.

Outlook doesn't support CalDAV. This might work, it's not a recommendation

If you have a paid google account - google apps sync works seamlessly. If not.. good luck.

Sort of related but Outlook isn't an email client, it's an Exchange client. It happens to be a very good Exchange client, but that doesn't really change where the focus is.
