Looks pretty good to me, not had any experience with Asrock motherboards though myself, if it reviews well then go for it, if not maybe extend the budget a bit and go for the Gigabyte DS3 (though id change to Geil ram it dont like g.skill aparantly)

Very good speck - one thing I would be wary about is the X1800 with only a 400w psu

I know the X1900's are infamous for being power hungry - and the X1800's never had this problem, but if you want a reasonable life out of your psu then I would seriously consider spending a few more £££ on a 480w one minimum

otherwise excellent pc (I guess you already have a case?)

Everything I've ever heard about that Asrock is about how it's a terrible overclocker.

You might want to consider swapping the Spinpoint for a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB ST3250620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-079-SE). It's just 15 quid more but it's loads faster.

there is much love for these drives atm, although I've heard that the spinpoints are quite nice drives too tho.

maybe spend a bit more on the psu, for something like a hiper 580. it will last you longer and will be more reliable than a sparkle i imagine.
supposedly hiper's have droped in quality recently

Tagan or OCZ would be my choice

oh, that isn't good as im very pleased with mine. Oh well, yes a tagen or OCZ would be much better than a sparkle, and you dont wanna lose your rig to a cheap psu.

The only reason the budget is that price is due to the fact I hardly use my pc, its only there for the internet, the occasional photos and music thats about it.
My other option was to buy a simple Dell system but I wanted to see what can be bought for a little more money

So why are you buying such a good graphics card? You dont really need Conroe either or that RAM.
