Can you build a computer inside a vacuum? (Like space)

It would probably run but as others have said it would get hot and probably overheat & shutdown due to not being able to disipade heat through convection.

I dont mean directly in space, more like one of them simulations that lowers ths atmosphere to match space.

If there is no air, i'd be thinking it wouldnt create heat, but then i'd say the heat from the computer would just hot box the thing, but there is no air.....
