There going tobe used in this fitting and thats the worst thing about leds and those kind of fitting, the bulbs are poor at downwards lighting.. So you need a much brighter led bulb to achieve this.
I received the bulbs today and Im pretty impressed as I tried them in another light fitting similar to the 1 that I will be fitting them into, but the fitting isn't up yet...I use the old type of bulb in this light fitting, the 42watt(60watt equivalent) halogen bulb. I have installed 2 of the new bulbs with the old bulbs and theres not much difference with the new ones only being slightly brighter, but noticeably whiter then the halogen bulbs... I think the led bulbs are ok at lighting up the floor, but cant really tell very well in the daylight so I'll let you know later.
Ive tried to take a picture to show you the difference but both types of bulbs have come out the same.
The bulbs with red rings are the old halogen bulbs
Well Im presently surprised these bulbs give 360 degree of light or as good as the old incandescent bulbs with light fittings that point upwards, the only downside is that they not as nice looking and are taller with a tint of blue/purple in the pattern on the celling...
