Can you change the way itunes stores your credit card info@?

My girlfriends son was on the ipad yesterday and downloaded a free app, my girlfriend put in the password, when you put in it once it then lets you download anything without putting in the password again, he's spent about £15 on apps.

Is there any way to make sure you put in the password each time you buy something?

Go into restrictions in the general section of settings and change the require password setting to immediately (make sure you have restrictions enabled) and it'll request the password each time something is purchased (you could just turn off in-app purchasing to stop that from ever happening).
