Can you clock a laptop?

Im looking at buying a Dell XPS M1330 core duo 2.0. Is it possible to overclock this and buy how much?

Also does anyone own this laptop or know of any reviews?

Laptops tend to be locked, I think its due to the extra heat being produced, also battery life if not connected to mains would be very short.

it can be done with clockgen ect if bios is locked but its dodgy as they tend to run very hot

Check out which Bios version it has some of the Dell series you can clock to 3.0Ghz not usre which one buy if you search XPS on youtube someone shows a demo .

unrelated but have you had a look at rock direct? Their laptops are much better value than dells.

You should be over to overclock but wear some thick trousers if you do, that things gonna burn.

Yep, some of the Clevo-chassis notebooks (like my Evesham

) let you overclock up to 15% in the BIOS.
