Can you do better than the Oneplus 2 for the price?

My Sony Z3C's headphone jack has now died for the third time, and I'm done with it! I'll get it repaired and sell it/keep as a spare, but want a new daily phone as it's getting utterly frustrating. Ideally, I don't want to import from China due to the risk that that entails/delivery times/warranty difficulties etc. So, long story short, is the Oneplus 2 still the best bang for buck phone? I don't want to spend any more than £250. Does the Honor 5X, or anything similar, rival it?

I had a 'plus One before my Z3 (not compact). I did have some [software] issues with it and by all accounts you need to hope you will not need OP's help, but in a way I do miss it. Perfect size and form factor for me, decent camera, good battery life, good sound from the headphones. All the things I tend to value in a phone. OK the screen isn't as good as something like a Samsung, but its not that much poorer IQ than the Z3 and for the price, what do you expect.

I've actually considered getting a OPT but I can't really justify it over the Sony (given its poor resale value) but luckily mine hasn't gone wrong.

LG G4 would get my vote, I bought mine from Vodafone a couple of weeks ago for £225 and unlocked it for £1.99.
Minus the fingerprint reader and dual sim I can't think of anything that's better on the OPT and the leather back means I'm case free which is a breath of fresh air actually.

Yeah, I saw that deal and missed it sadly. Would have snapped it up had it still been available yesterday!

Ended up with the Nexus 5X. It was going for £250 for the 32gb version. Not as fast as the OPT or G4, but still reasonable enough for my uses, and I'm enjoying having an unskinned android. Plus with fingerprint and NFC it's all ready for android pay when that comes along!

I just landed a Z5 for just over 250.

Wonderful phone!

EDIT: Sorry, just seen you bought a 5X, also a great phone! Undecided what to do with mine now.

Haha, that's OK, enjoy the Z5! For the most part I was really impressed with the Z3C, but I had issues with the screen coming out of its housing, and the headphone jack died three times, so won't be getting another Sony for a little while unfortunately.

That said, I'm already missing it being waterproof. Just being able to leave it on the side of the sink while washing up, without worrying about nudging it in, is so handy.
