I know nothing about graphics cards, is this one half decent for gaming?

No, unless you are planning on playing older games e.g. UT2004, BF2, Deus Ex 2 etc.

For playing modern games, you really want a Radeon 2600/3650 or GeForce 8600/9600 as a minimum. What's your budget?

My budget is 400 max.

I use it mainly for office applications, internet, movies, and gaming.

I really doubt you're going to get a good gaming laptop into a £400 budget. Your best bet is probably to watch the Dell Outlet for a cheap XPS but even then I don't think you'll get one in your budget.

Yup, best bet is Dell outlet or second hand with that budget. Up it to £600 though and you're much more likely to get what you want.
