Can you download PS3 demos from the net?

Since we never seem to get new content on the uk store is it possible to download the PS3 demos from the internet(If you can) then stick it on a SD memory card and transfer it to PS3 hardrive?Which will then hopefully install

I'm just thinking out loud here but has anyone tryed this or something similar?

you cant put them on a SD stick or hardrive well yet anyway.

you can download demos from other countries though and use a proxy method hack

just make a US or Jap playstation store account . thats all everyone else on here does
